Powder measure problem

I have a new powder measure and the instructions say to clean the inside of the main casting and the measuring cylinder and screw to remove the factory applied rust preventative.

The only problem is I've played with it for about 24 hours now and I can't get the measuring screw out so the cylinder will come out.

    Can anybody help me?

Lon, if that is a Uniflow powder measure and I think it is, if you have the large measuring screw installed you have to remove it through the top of the powder measure, although, do not attempt to remove the powder hopper.

In layman terms, turn the dam thing upside down and shake it until the screw falls out.

I hope this was helpful. Joe

Then I have to try to get it back in.....?

Thanks, Joe, I'll try it. The manual says do not by any means remove the hopper.
