Ruger GP100 and my Ruger MarkII
That's the Ruger I want is your GP100. How do you like it?
It was my first gun. I like it a lot. That gun is "all business" and I love the simplicity and look of a revolver. Mine is a 6" barrel to ease the recoil a little on the .357 magnum round. She is a great gun and I trust my life with that gun. If I ever need to defend myself at home, that revolver will be what I reach for. I like the clean look of the stainless steel.
The GP 100 is my "business" gun.
The Mark II is my "fun" gun
and the Sig P238 is my "personal defense" gun.
Now, if you ask JonM, he is not a fan of the GP100. He shot mine and he liked it 'okay' but I think his brother had one years ago that Jon was not impressed with. Jon liked mine better. I think it is a great shooter, built like a tank, never gives me any trouble and could knock a bad guy down if she had to and I did my part.
I highly recommend a GP100 as a classic revolver and all around great gun. Mine will be with me forever and then with my kids when I am no longer here to shoot it.
Love my Blackhawk!
Well, the wife has one
Yup, the new gp100 are much better than the early ones ruger was making. Same is true for their single action guns. Most of the difference is in how much better the out of the box triggers are compaired to what they used to be.
Mini 14 Ranch Rifle
Some really nice Rugers, I love the single six and have it on the bucket list.
First Model Year (1958) Bearcat, near perfect condition
Mark II Competition
Hawkeye All-Weather .223
SR9c...love it better than any other pistol ive shot. My wife owns the SR9 full-size model that she shoots better than any Glock. We certainly have the Ruger bug.
