Sure is, they are both spoiled rotten.
-- wonders if he barks with an Irish accent --
The black and tan one barked from the day he arrived he loves the sound of his own voice.
Roobie , my Bagle pup,
She can't reach the door knob yet.
Mrs. Balota, it's really hard to tell exactly which one in that picture is the most spoiled!
aww! he's so cute Jim!
Mrs. Balota, the mother of father of Brutus.
Bagles are cute ...even after they're grown up.
Her mother was Bassett, and father was Beagle.
Yep....she runs sideways.
the wife and i call them Beasles!
she looks so cute Jim!
that's an interesting combination.
Had to do the bottle feeding thing back in 2015, when the wife's black lab had her first litter. out of 15 (there's a reason we decided to have her spayed), the wife, daughter, her friend, and I saved 13. Next two went smooth, lost one from each, decided to retire her from breeding this year, after the last litter.
Once they got onto solid food, they were eating us out of house and home. That and we decided at her age, there were just too many health risks for her.
The bottle feeding was a big part of the reason, at her own request, that I missed the daughter's commencement, as someone had to stay behind to monitor the birthings, and to bottle feed the pups.
I hated having to make that call, and her having to make it as well, but I was the only one here with any experience in that department, so it fell on me at that point. I also don't miss the every 2 hours feeding schedule, but at least the dog was willing to help with the clean up, and after about 10 days, she did start nursing them on her own.
It's stressful, but worth it.
Brutus seems very healthy and is eating good. he's growing and getting stronger. had to move him to a deeper tote because he already got strong enough to climb out of the other one.
and yes Mr. Kfox, it's definitely worth it. plus you become very attached to animals you have to care for and bottle feed. we had no plans on keeping any of the puppies, but i have gotten attached to Brutus so he's not going anywhere now!
Frederick. Our daughter's fox red.
Growing girl. Started at 12 lbs and now at 31 lbs. About 30 or 40 more pounds to go.
look at them ears! i'll bet she can hear an ant fart at 500 yards!
but she sure is a cute puppy!
Do I have to have my own thread?
cats are furry family members too!
This is Shadow. My best buddy for going on 8 years. He thinks it's fun to intimidate people so I never have to worry about locking the car while he's in it and burglars would never try to break into my house. He's really just a loving pup though. He's been looking out for me even more since the wife passed away almost 2 years ago.
