My favorite is the one my Dad left me , its his older S&W 36 3inch barreled
Here is my favorite revolver. Yes, it is a Taurus Tracker.
An old thread that I'm always glad to see come around again.
A couple of 3 inch barrel Roscoe's from the last century that you don't see walkin the street much today.
The 640 was only made in the 3" pipe for a few years back in the early 90's.
The Model 10-8 has had a lot of work done by a previous owner. The best trigger job that I have ever felt. It has a ball detent in the frame under the barrel for a three point lock up. The double action trigger stages up like a bank vault closing. Also a wide serrated target trigger. Needless to say, a shooter's revolver.
Three inch barrels are some of my favorite carry revolvers.
I like your grips, my 941 stock rubber grips are skinny for a guy.
Fits great for women and kids.
Thats my only fault with the 941.
This is my favorite gun that I own- my Super Blackhawk in 44 mag. This thing is on my hip, loaded with 340 grain hard casts, anytime I hit the big woods
Nice! As for me, I’m a S&W fan
I like SW (before I moved to New Mexico and now Maine I used to live about an hour from the factory) but for me, Ruger is a better fit because they’re just a little more durable and can handle hotter loads. In Maine I’m far more worried about being attacked by a moose or a bear than a person- so my guns are typically more focused for wilderness protection. If I lived in an urban or suburban area- I’d probably go for the Smith for personal protection. Like I say- Ruger for the woods, Smith for they hood. Since Maine, northern NH, and Vermont have no hood- I carry for the woods.
My new 1964 model 12 in proper furniture.
My Taurus 605 and 425 Tracker.
Probably the Ruger Redhawk .44mag (#KRH444 or #5044), in the 4.2" barrel:
My favorites? I have 2 actually even though I have a few more in the safe. But when it comes to heading to the woods these 2 are my hands down favorites.
First is a S&W 24-3 that I picked up about 15 years ago. I was bitten by the .44 bug after my first 629-1. But, none of my .44s have ever seen a magnum round. I actually prefer a .44 Spl at about 950 fps to 1050 fps. And that's why the .24-3.
Because the 24-3 is getting older it has been getting slowly replaced by this 29-8 that I picked up just before finding the 24-3. The 29-8 I found in a friend's LGS. It came with box and a box of .44 mag factory rounds minus 6. I picked this one up for $295 and I won't part with it. This one too sees 250 gr rounds at 950 to 1050 fps.
joe49, those are VERY NICE indeed!
A late thanks...lol. This is my kinda thread..dont know why i never seen it before...
1905 Webley W&S Target Model in .455cf.
I don't take pictures of any of my guns but I think by now, every Gun Guy out there knows what the S&W Model 638 (No Lock) looks like and this is my Favorite one. IMO, everyone should own at least one Revolver and I will always keep mine!
rn-cindy, please show us your revolver/s! I am very curious as to what you carry/own.
Here is my big sister and my little sister ... Taurus 425 .41 mag and 605 357.
One for Idaho bear critters, one for miscreant varmints.
I posted this pic for a better size comparison.
LOVE THEM BOTH!
Not my favorites but I had them out of the safe
My S&W 327 with Hogue Bantam Cocobolo grips and my NRA knife
