A man walks into a room and places two guns in front of you. A polymer and a full metal gun. Both are functionally the same. You can only have one. Which one do you pick and why?

depends on what the gun is.

ill take a polymer xdm over an all metal glock any day of the year

Not enough info to make a decision. I'd rather have a metal 1911 than a polymer hi-point but I'd rather have a polymer Heckler & Koch than a metal llama.

    Metal. Lighter isn't always better.

Beretta 92fs vs. 90 two. Same make and everything. Pick.

no where just echoing your post above :)

the material is typically irrelevant. a bad gun is a bad gun.

there just as many crappy all metal guns as there are crappy poly guns

I personally like metal guns because they're typically easier to modify.

I'd flip a coin. Wouldn't care one way or the other.

I've got plenty of poly. I'll take the metal.

Can't you do better than that? Of all the great poly and metal guns - you give us those two?

Around the turn of the century. The art of casting metal was all the rage. Pocket Pistols were very much the in thing. Many tons of light less expensive cast chrome plated pistols were sold to the public. S&W, Colt and a few others continued with machined steel handguns. I am sure back then they argued that the light cast guns were just as good as the steel ones. Those cast guns. Yes, we call them junk today. The steel ones are highly sought after. What will gun collectors call the Glocks years from now.

I don't know bout the 90 two, but the 92fs probably second best I've used in accuracy and by far my favorite.

If it a 1911 or a Glock I take the 1911. If it is the Ruger LCR or S & W J frame. I would take the J frame. If it is a Bryco or Jimmize and a Glock. It would be the Glock but it would be a hard choice.
