When you login, there is a spot on the menu bar that has "My Account".
Go there and at the bottom is a place for "Premium Membership".

To help others who come upon this I understand it is $15.

Contact Notdku (the administrator). I believe supporting membership is $15/yr. The political section was becoming a drive by sniping area for every kook, troll and whack jobs. Hence it was limited to supporting members.

I believe that was the old criteria for posting in the politics section. The policy changed at some point in the past few months.

Jon, here are the "benefits" of becoming a supporting member. It doesn't say anything about the politics forum, but I'm guessing it hasn't been updated. There is the phrase "Premium Member Only" under the Politics forum link though.

    Works for me too.

Changed for members that didn't have access already?

I think so, sort of a grandfather clause instead of blocking those who had access before the change. I remember the 25 post rule from a while back, but don't know when it became a Premium Member perk.
