I want to polish the cylinder release, trigger, hammer, and cylinder on my judge. Who thinks I should and who thinks I shouldn't?

I have done various parts on many guns, but normally just do the barrels on my auto loaders. I just dip the parts to be polished in vinegar for a few hours to take the bluing off, jeweler's rouge and a buffing wheel.

I've done a few myself. I just need votes on whether or not to do it on my judge.

Is there a reason you want to polish those parts?

Something specific, like trigger is not crisp or something?

Just remember, its very easy to remove the surface on metal - not so easy to put it back.

If you polish the bluing off you will have bare, unprotected steel which can rust very quickly. It will also ruin the value of your gun.
Not a good idea at all!

I had the bolt polished on my Saiga 12. No trouble yet.

It's your gun. Do what you want. It's a judge, and there are a ton if them. So it's not likely to gain a lot if value. If you really wanted it shined and still protected you could have it nickel plated or chromed.

This is my only beef with polishing the Judge. Taking the bluing off will make the revo more susceptible to oxidation. and if you choose to resell I don't think you will get near what you could wit hit stock. But if you have no desire to sell it and you are willing to keep the bare metal from rust then have at it. It wont ruin the thing , just make it a little higher maintenance. I don't see the Judge becoming a collector piece anytime soon and there are tons out there so even in the far future I can't see it turning into a collector gun. But one never really knows about those things.

I have to admit it is an interesting idea and I can't say I wouldn't want to see it afterwards.

personally, i wouldn't. it's a Judge, not a Colt 1911 or SAA. it's a basic utilitarian type pistol, not show queen.

it's your pistol to do with as you like though.

They are ugly guns. So the question is, do you want an ugly gun with nice shiny parts? good luck

It is a beautiful peace as is i wouldnt touch a thing on it if you do it wont give you any attributes when fireing it... If flashy is what you are after than get it plated in nickel or chrome

I didn't do it. I sold it instead and bought a judge magnum then sold that. Lol
