Please help identify my old bolt action .22

    Its ben passed down in the family and nobody ever knew what it was maybe you can help because i need a clip for it :)

    Well, it LOOKS like a Marlin Model 80- but what is written on the barrel? My crystal ball is back in the shop for calibration again.

    I may be mistaken but I don't think your rifle uses clips.

    Its got a slot for it i mean i dont know alot about guns but i know i cannot manually feed it ammunition because it wont fire unless a mags in. Its like a little saftey switch to prevent it from firing Thanks :)

    It says nothing on it i had a professional take this apart and try to find something to give it away but he found nothing

    Sure looks like a Marlin. Does it have micro-groove rifling?

    Had one just like it. Sold by Sears in early 60s.

    I think most likely its a Marlin model 80. but if its not I'm thinking that is a Mossberg M144. I could be wrong. Maybe post some more pics. What does the safety look like? Do you have a broken magazine you could post pics of?

    It looks like a Marlin 80 but it maybe says Sears on the barrel but its the same thing Marlin made a lot of rifles for Sears

    Marlin. Mossberg is quite different.
    The old Marlins used several different trigger guard styles, depending on the years it was made.
