Im looking for front and back plates that will stop a 7.62/.308 but are ligtwieght. Ive seen them at a gun,show and they were very light i just dont remember where they were from.

Rifle capable plates are NEVER light. Ceramic, multi hit plates are around 9-10 lbs each. That ain't light. If someone is showing you 4 pound plates, think twice.

Glad i didnt buy, do you have any suggestions. I know very little biut plates.

Stay away from steel plates. They're garbage.
