I sorted out some of my AR parts today and came up with this. CAV lower with a leftover Dissipator type SS barrel, DPMS carbon forend and a Nikon Buckmaster 3-9. This should fill the niche that I created for a lighweight, fast handling coyote calling gun. Probably need one like I need a hole in the head but I love the AR platform and got bored with regular M forgeries and the like. Weighs in at just over 5 pounds unloaded and so far my groups are about an inch and an eigth at 100. Hopefully I can tighten those up off a bench. I don't like the pin holes in the barrel left by removal of the sight tower. Any thoughts on filling them? I thought about reinserting the pins and just filing/ sanding them flush with the barrel.
