Here's the flush crown job Ron Phillips did to the Kart NM barrel while the gun was in Berryville.
Here she is before the hardchrome and flush crown.
Very nice. I like hard chrome.
Thanks guys. I'm a big hardchrome fan and have been wanting to get one done for awhile. Just had a hard time choosing which one to send
Sweet!! Looks great!
Looks good. If you don't mine what did that set you back?
Nice. If, for some reason, you should find that the firearm does not come up to specs, PM me and I would be willing to give it a long time test / workout.
I'd take it in either condition.
Here's his website with pricing.Metaloy, Industries - Professional Gun Finishing - hard chrome, blue and polymer finish
Thanks for the link, now I am tempted to send a 1911 in! I wonder how the OD green or gray looks on them? Thanks again.
OD green or gray what? Grips or finish?
Oh, I see what you're talking about. The Tactikote finish colors. He's got a picture of a Colt Python that someone had him Tactikote in black, if you can believe that. But, it looks good.
sorry about that, i didnt really clarify what i meant, but yeah i looked at there site and seen they do other colors, yours looks really good and very tempting to do to mine, i was just curious as how the other ones might look on a 1911, I think the OD green might be kinda cool! So how long did it take for them to do it, and how do you go about shipping it to them?
I did a dura-kote on a 1911a1, flat black slide, desert tan frame. Still working the bugs out of it. I think I did okay. It got a lot of looks at the range. Pics will come when I'm finished.
If he "mined", it would have probably set him back far less.
That is LOVELY. *thumbs up*
Just stunning! So shiny me want one!
