I would choose either the second or fourth one.

What are you going to use the knife for?

I have carried a Kershaw Blur Tanto for a couple years now. Very lightweight, super grippy, love the assisted opening, solid lockback, all around great knife to have with you all the time. Comes razor sharp and after moderate use, it still retains its edge - I would only need to make a few swipes on a sharpener to shave with it. Plus, you get the super discount from Promotive! :D

I have two Blurs. Tanto blade and regular blade. Carry one of them at all times. Very sturdy, good knives. The only "downside" is sometimes when you open them, you get a gasp from people who are a little shocked by the look, size, and speed that you can deploy it. Yen and Yang.

Either the SOG or the Kershaw, in my opinion.

And most people don't know of the Dajo brand, but I've gotta say, they make some pretty decent knives if you don't mind going under your price range. I've had one of theirs for about 5 years, of relatively heavy use. The blade is a little scratched, but the edge is easy to sharpen ad the knife has gone through hell a couple times.

My favorite is the Ken Onion designed Kershaw Shallot

I got mine on ebay with some persistent bidding for $26 shipped. They typically go for $35+.

    Benchmade for $73.50

    SOG Twitch XL for $72.50

    Kershaw Blur for $69.97

I say go SOG. Though the Kershaw Blur seems like it would be good for your intended purposes. But at those prices get both and it is like getting one free.:D

    BUCK

If you go up to $80, you can get a Buck Vantage in S30V. If $75 is a hard-and-fast line, the next model down is only $54, and comes in 13C26 Sandvik.

Kershaw is a great company, plus USA made means USA paid.

Go with the Benchmade. That would likely be my answer to any selection in that price point, but the Benchmade also has the most substantial grips in the group. That's important if you anticipate using the knife in wet and messy conditions. I would not want to have my hands covered in animal guts with some thin metal or carbon grips. You're just asking for big trouble in that case.

I can't complain any about my Kershaw. Carried if every day for almost two years and it's a solid knife. They are cheaper now than when I bought mine.
Handle is easy to keep hold of with the rough finish, the pocket clip takes away from that somewhat, but I expect most of the knives with a clip would do the same.
    Mine is 1670BLKST

I'd go with the SOG or Kershaw. Probably the Kershaw. But my personal choice is a CRKT Natural as an EDC.

The link above is for one sized about the same as what you posted. Personally, I prefer the this one.

If it isn't going to be an EDC and will be banging around in a tool box, go with the Kershaw or something similar with a plastic handle.
