Photoshop help. How to get the grainy look

    Couldn't see the first one, second photo is way too small to tell anything, third photo is way over sharpened. You can accomplish that with unsharpmask.

    If you shoot in .raw format, when you open the image you have more control over the image. You can crank up the Clarity and get the same effect.

    ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS shoot in raw format. One of my best shots of all time I did in jpg :( Best I could get out of it was 8x10. in raw, poster size would have been a piece of cake.

    Look at your plug-ins. If you don't have one for Grainy effect you will need to purchase one. Have Elements 9 & 10 for Mac, as well as CS4 on an older machine. Also have Apple's apps, Plug-ins work across the board, brushes and such....
