This coming Thursday night at ten PM on the Food Network, the Food Feud will be between Pat's and Geno's in Philadelphia. I like them both. :)

I haven't been to either in about six years and I suffer withdrawals regularly.

    Any cheesesteak fans here?

I love 'em but I've never had one from Philadelphia, the real deal.

Geno's, Pat's or Tony Luke's...I'm buying! BTW...Geno's is better...if for no other reason than getting to listen to Joey Vento complain about illegal aliens...

I've only had Geno's, so to me they are the real and only Philly Cheesesteak there is. Everything else is just a cheesesteak...except for Steak-Umms. Those are an abomination.

And always with peppers and onions!

I'm bumping this because I am becoming obsessed with wanting a real Philly cheesesteak and not some California sub shop wannabe.

I just know that I need to get deep out East to try one of these. I have never had an authentic Philly.

Then again, I would probably have to draw down on the angry mob when I ordered one without onions ( can't eat them ):eek:

I think the best cheese steaks are the ones that I make myself, however I have never had the opportunity to head east and get the "real mc coy"

Honestly. Who the hell eats Swiss cheese of all things?? Swiss Cheese crackers are okay, but to add that cheese to any grilled animal flesh on a bun is just plain W-R-O-N-G!!

Copious amounts of hot sauce do belong there though, am I correct? Preferably Cholula or Tabasco....

I have to admit I lived just out side philly and never went and got a Geno's or Pat's PCS. There should be nothing on a PCS but steak and cheese. Onions are allowable but I am like JD can't really stand onions. In soups and what not are ok but on top of something I just can't get over the slimy feel of them EWWWWWWWWWWWW[IMG].

I LIVE on Cholula.....but I would not sacrilege a Philly with it.
