What are you using in your glocks for ammo for personal protection?
i believe that would depend on your caliber.
basically JHPs that have a record of good expansion
I carry Double Tap 140 Gr. in my Glock 32 with .40 SW barrel. Powerful and accurate stuff.
personal carry ammo?
I carry a 380 always as a backup and alternate it with 40s/w semiauto,
glock19 or rugerP90. I always use CorBon JHP and I prefer the loads be
a +P or P+P powder load. If I can not get CorBon I go for Federal ammo.
.45 Gap Hollow Point with my Model 38.
165 grain Gold Dots in 40 S&W.
CCI/SPEER Gold Dots in any caliber do an excellent job on expansion.
For civil liability considerations....check what your local PD/Sheriff/State Police use.
What ever you choose...make sure you test some for function in the pistol you carry them in !
Gold Dot reloads in 40 S&W.
I usually load my Glock 30 and 21SF with Hornady TAP 230GR. +P. They work well in my guns.
See Screen Name
+P is great ammunition. Winchester has some really great rounds coming out now.
i hear ya. ranger sxt t-series in my off duty and home defense guns.
In my G-21's I like to use either Remington, 'Golden Saber' or Speer, 'Gold Dot'. In the wintertime, I alternate quality FMJ's into the mix in order to account for heavier clothing.
I always avoid using all of the, 'super duper' +P SD ammo. This is because I have spent years learning how to double and triple tap, 'at the speed of light'. The more recoil I have to deal with, the more difficult it is for me to hit the A zone as fast as I prefer.
By the way, I've got absolutely nothing against Winchester, 'Ranger' (T, or Bonded). It's just that I can't get my hands on any of it locally.
