Has anyone seen the article in the OC Register where Senator DeLeon is going to write legislation requiring Californians or purchase a permit to have a back ground check to buy ammo? The fee would be $50 per year and you would have to re apply every year just like a fishing license or permit to cut Christmas trees.

Very sad what these morons are trying to do just because of one mentally disturbed individual, and what's really sad his Mother didn't have the guns locked up and knew her son had a mental issue.

i agree with JPyle and believe also it has nothing to do with safety or trying to prevent more crime, but simply a way to make more money. if they were truly concerned, they would try and implement measures that really work, like instead of more gun control laws, getting rid of all of them, and allowing any LAC the right to carry without a permit, concealed or open carry.

A friend has been telling me for years that he thinks they will go after ammo vice the guns. With all of the people that I have seen stocking up on ammo the last five years or so, I think he is not the only one that are worried about the ammo getting cut off.

So how will it work in CA if a person crosses the state line to buy ammo? I can see it now, states that have firecracker stands at the state line, along with the Beer Barn and the Ammo Can.

Have you ever been to California, the greater L.A. area hold the population. There is only one or two conservative counties in the entire area.
