Thank You Sir. GMA and I traveled that area on our Honeymoon. Spent a little time in PA with an Old Navy Guy. Both areas have different hunting conditions.
Welcome from North Mississippi!!

Thank You Sir, travel that way in route to visit the G-Kids at Fort Hauchuca AZ. Some real good Blue Bayou Meals up there. JMHO.

Thank You Sir, got a lot of geography to take in. Still awaiting the Old Sea Dog response.
Welcome aboard from Central VA. Wipe yer feet, stow yer seabag, coffee and fresh doughnuts in the wardroom, and another fine Navy day to you.

Come on in and take a dip ... the water's fine.

Welcome.

Haven't heard the "Permission to come aboard?" thing for a good long while. A buddy had a 26ft sloop, back when. Seemed sort of silly to ask, on that thing. Then again, I came onboard with my old Greek fisherman's cap, so there it is. Gotta love the sea, however you slice it.

NAC/CAC/AIRR.....
perhaps you could "splain" what all that stands for as this old Army Vet "no comprendo" - in any case, welcome from the wilds of Baja Oklahoma (E. Texas)

(p.s. : I spent a few weeks at Ft Hauchuca on my way to my 1st VN tour - always wanted to be base there, but.....)

NAC is Naval Aircrewmen. CAC is Combat Aircrewmen.AIRR is Aviation Rescue Swimmer. There are more alphabetic acronyms behind those along with a list of NEC's that is even longer, but it's is to be expected after 3 Decades on the Government Gravy Train. The Son in law along with Thing 2 and their things 1&2 have been stationed there for the last couple of years. Looks like they will be spending a couple or three more years there with his new set of orders. The Drive across Texas seems to get longer every year. JMHO.

thank you for the get-back and it's a pleasure to have a fellow airman "on board" - curious as to your SIL's status at Ft Huachuca - Army ? - Military Electronics stuff ? I attended a few week's course there "learning" operation/capabilities of airborne Radar, IR and Photos systems aboard the OV-1 Mohawk

I hear ya about that drive across Tejas - I lived in Houston for many years and "did" I-10 as a route to visit relatives in Kalifornia almost every year - didn't care for a single driving mile of those trips
