Is a paradox adjustment the same thing as a fine focus? I got a Nightforce scope and it has the paradox dial. It seems to help put whatever I am looking at in focus, but I wasn't sure if they were the same things.

    Its parallax.

Means putting the xhairs on the same plane as the image.

If they aren't the xhairs will move as your eye moves position behind the lens. The parallax knob changes focus of the image so they are same plane. You check it by moving eye position behind the lens for the xhairs to stay on the target in the same spot.

Had me wondering if paradox wasn't just for archers.

Paradox? Wasn't that an old Kris Kristofferson movie that dealt with Time Travel deaths of passengers on an Airliner? Good Movie.

    Sorry---but it made me chuckle.

No, Paradox is having 2 MDs looking after you. Not to be confused with paradigms, which is about 20 cents.

If I set my scope in a formate of a paralelagram would the Euclidean Parallel Postulate cancel out the parallax or would it still be a paradox?
