I can get a used PARA Expert 45 1911 ACP for $350+ tax, is this a fair price?
It looks to be in very good condition.

Congrats on a great buy. I'm not a Para fan but for that money I would have walked out with it.

I hear ya! In the past 4 months I've put a few hundred rounds thru it. My accuracy with it is about the same as with my Colt 1911. It has been reliable and darn fun to shoot.

At the time I bought it I was thinking of making a project gun with it, but I don't think there's anything I want to change on it now (except the grips).

Picked up the same model of Para that you got, paid a bit more then you but I love the way it handles and shoots. It is definitely one of my favorite 1911's.

Great, I hope you enjoy shooting it as much I do mine. The front sight that was on the gun was not a factory sight and not good one, but I happened to get a factory sight from a fellow forum member and put it on the pistol. Even better now.

A couple up mods include a Recover Grip that adds a rail to the gun, so I put a laser on it. The other thing was to put a Wilson Combat full length guide rod (& plug), just for the fun of it.

Nice looking set up. You ever find a holster to fit it?

Never even tried to look for a holster. This one is a range gun mostly and home defense.

The dimensions with the rail (and a laser) probably won't fit most holsters, so a custom made holster would be the solution.

Andrews leather will have a solution to your holster dilemma if you decide you want one.
