Took my Para to the range and have done so sevral times. When you take my little quirks out of the equation its a damn accurate pistol shooting .05 to 1inch groups at 15ft. Trigger pull first trip was a little long for a SA model and a little "sloppy" meaning a lot of travel. But i had a trigger job done and it now has the same trigger pull as my SA sig p238. Recoil to me seems lite and very easy to manage. The fiber optic front sight makes target acquisition easy atleast for me so thats a plus. Standard 8rd mags times 2 come with the gun which supplies you with 16+1 shots more than enough for most engagements. Im new to full size handguns so i have some small accuracy issues that im working out but having a friend who is a NRA certified instructor and CHL teacher who carries a 1911 daily for the last 15 years definitely showed me what this gun is capable of in well trained hands. Overall for the 686$ price tag its worth it. extremely accurate kinda heavy but it helps with recoil. Ill post a link to a youtube review if i can get youtube to work lol. Thanks for reading now for the gun porn.

The more you shoot a 1911, the better you get and the more addictive it gets!!
I know, for I have been shooting 1911's for 40 years.
    Have fun and enjoy.

Nice. Para was a Canadian company and left. Can't say I blame them and glad things worked out.

I thought their claim to fame was a double stack 1911 in .45 ?

Weird. Alien interference, most likely. ;)

Para Black Ops looks like a great piece. Just can't find one anywhere. I watched a video on their site that shows them really putting it through some tough torture testing.

Amen. We long-time 1911 guys know what it means to be "one" with your firearm. You reach that ZEN, man, with the 1911, and you rock with it.
