Painting AR's

    Thinking about painting my AR but not 100% on it. I was wanting to get the older Vietnam tiger striped pattern or near to it. Any thoughts and would it be hard to do?

    go for it. the first spray is always the hardest.

    Take a look at Duracoats non-bake spray kits. Used a few of them this past summer - wears and looks great!

    Is it hard to do? I know it's a more complicated pattern type

    There are literally hundreds of how to videos and links on how to paint camo onto a rifle. In your case it will be making your templates (painters tape and lots of patience). You could also get kits:

    Lauer Custom Weaponry: Afghan

    Camo Dip Kit - Do It Yourself Water Transfer Camo Dip Kit

    That was just 30 seconds of searching on the web

    You'll have to disassemble for at least the base coat.

    I've only done one - it works for the grassy fields I typically hunt on the edge of:
