Hello, I am new to these threads and i have some questions.
I am currently waiting for my paperwork to come back on a Tac-65.

1. I have heard some say that you never want to fire a .22 supressor wet. Is that true?

2. Also, once I recieve the supressor should I always keep the form 4 with it? or is it okay to leave the paperwork at home and go shooting without it?

Thanks

Can't answer Q #1, but some would say keep a copy of the form 4 with the can and secure the original in a safe place like a Safe Deposit Box.

Gemtech says not to shoot wet with water in thier aluminum silencers as it causes the aluminum to corrode.

You should contact Tactical Innovations and ask them direct if thier alloy of aluminum is going to be damaged by water based products.

A bit of CLP or other oil while smokey as heck will help with the first round pop of the cheaper silencers like the TAC 65

Suppressor

I wouldn't suggest shooting a .22 can wet unless you can break it down to clean it. Here's a video in a garage of a P22 being shot dry and wet.

Form 4

As to the Form 4, make a copy and lock the original in a safe. Never leave home without your copy of your form 4 when you have the class 3 weapon with you. If you do, you can be in violation of federal law and be charged with a felony.

I went with the Tac-65. The store i got it from had a deal going on that included the P22. For my first one, i just decided to go with it cause of the money. Plus i knew it was a pretty good can because my dad has had one for about a year now...
