+P question

    saw some .38 special +P JHP at Wal Mart. What does +P stand for? Can I use it in my Rossi .38 special snubby?

    +P means plus pressure. They are loaded to higher than "normal" pressure. Refer to the owner's manual or the Rossi web site to see if they are "safe".

    Yep!:D Plus, that also means that you don't want to shoot that ammo in an old .38 revolver that wasn't specifically designed for +P ammo.

    Personally, I wouldn't use +P ammo in a Rossi... even "if" the manual said it was OK. +P really puts a lot of stress on the frame.
