Being a guy who is rather short in stature, I have had a problem with the length of pull on off the shelf guns as being too long; not, extremely long, but anywhere from 1/4 to 3/4 inch too long, or just long enough to be aggravating. By replacing the original butt plate or recoil pad w/ a 1/8" thick piece of plexiglas shaped and fitted to the gun butt, my problem was solved. The stock does not have to be cut and if I sell the gun, I just put the original plate back on. I spray paint the back side of the plexiglas plate whatever color I want and it is cheap, easy, and does not look too bad. I use a moto tool to do the final fitting. Hey, you might laugh, but it works for me.
