    WWI, my Grandfather brought these back, 1917 French,

    He passed about 10 years ago while setting up his SeaBee reunion. He was a man you did not want to piss off. He was a Brooklyn boy, born 1924.
    His Education ended w/ Vocational Drafting. He went on to work for Grumman as a structural engineer. The LEM, EFB111, A6, F14 were some of his babies. Hell, landing on the moon is enough. He always used a slide rule.

    I'm sorry for your loss. I know what you mean though, I'm an old Brooklyn boy myself.

    He grew up on Euclid Ave. My Mom was from Canarsie Queens.

    JP - Wow. Much respect for your Dad. The SeaBee's were a courageous and heroic bunch.

    Interesting. He must have been quite a man.

    My Dad was in the Army, stationed at Corregidor, taken POW by the Japanese for almost four years in China.

    Utmost in respect for these guys....and all past and present in our military.
