MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Oscar G. Mayer, retired chairman of the Wisconsin-based meat processing company that bears his name, has died at the age of 95.

The wiener mobile, the wiener whistle and without doubt the best production bacon you can buy (in a super market). Rest in peace.

95 eh? Pfft, so eating hot dogs and bacon are bad for me? I don't think so A.M.A.! But seriously, one of the happiest moments of my life was actually seeing a weinermobile on the 101 in Camarillo last year. RIP Oscar.

According to Wikipedia, his father died at 76 and his grandfather died at 95. To hell with salads and heath food!

But how kick ass would it be to see a Weinermobile hearse!

Do you think they will bury him in a casket that looks like a bun?

I never realized there was an actual man running around named Oscar Mayer.

I remember seeing the WienerMobile at a local grocery store back when I was 13 (1963). Somewhere, in one of the boxes of junk I have stored around, there sits a Wiener Whistle.

    R.I.P. Oscar Mayer.

I can remember getting a hot dog FROM the wienermobile in San Diego in about 1975 or 1976.

Wow! So many great products and the guy lived to be 95. Whether he ate his products daily or not, I am SURE there was plenty of it getting chowed down at company functions of the year. I am with gregs, screw you AMA....

    R.I.P. and Godspeed Mr. Mayer!
