I am considering an optic for my Yugo SKS as I am having trouble seeing my sights clearly. I would prefer something that does not require a battery. I have a rail on the hand guard.
Any thoughts on which is better, a front mounted sight or a rear mounted scope? If rear mounted, how do you do that with that rifle? Would you need one of those shell deflectors I see all the time?
    Thank.

There are two dust covers that have a scope mount on it. If you use a short scope you dont need a deflecter. Check midwayusa.com and millsurpstuff.com
