Was looking for a nightmare carry making my rounds at the LGS's and found two but at the third store,my favorite of the three,I saw one of these guns priced about 150 more than the nightmare. Love the nightmare, but this gun is scandium frame and a whole 10 oz. lighter. Feels just as good as the sig. Anyone have one?

I don't have one, nor have I ever had a Sig Nightmare.
But I would buy that. Oh yes, I would. I would buy it, and then caress it. I would buy it dinner, 230 grains at a time, I would rub it, fondle it, oil it, and whisper sweet nothings to it.

I love Smith and Wesson. I'm still curious about this debate over the external extractor, but I would buy that. I would fist fight a nun for it.

First the penis gun now this; I'm starting to get a bit scared of you and what you do with your guns.

I'm not crazy about the S&W 1911s. I don't like the lawyer talk that they proudly display on the sides of the slide. I don't like the fish scale serrations. I don't like the front cocking serrations. And personally, I'd rather have a forged steel frame versus a Scandium frame.

But those are all my personal opinions. Plenty of people like the guns. They're just not for me. For the money, I believe there are a lot better choices.

Well I just handled both side by side, and the smith felt better, but I'm also not super crazy about the aesthetics and am a little concerned about the long term durability of the scandium frame. But then again it was light and this gun will be my carry gun.

Any other bobbed commanders that I should look at for the sand price.

There was a Dan Wesson V-bob for a touch over 15, but that's damn near more than I'm willing to pay for ANYTHING right now. Plus if I ever have to use it it would break my heart to know its doomed to sit in an evidence locker for a decade before being melted down

What's the price on the Smith?

Likely you can find a lightly used CBOB for the same price. I'd rather have a DW than a SW.

Just looked and found some factory blemished Dan Wesson guardians for 1200 on gunsamerica. Sound like a good deal?

Have you price compared on Buds online? Price seems high for the Sig.

The Guardian would make a fantastic carry gun as well since it has an alloy frame.

Hey I'm buying it for myself lol,if I recall the only gun I ever asked of you for a bday gift was a pellet gun lol. How much would it have thrown u off if you said "hey there little Jstrong, what do you want for your 12th birthday?"

12 year old me "Well Pops a nighthawk would be nice,or a colt Wiley Clapp commander. Oh wait, hmmm I guess a Dan Wesson would do in a pinch... A handle of makers mark would also favor a set cocobolo grips for it too. You can put them in my christmas stocking."

Hey, I'm proud of you.. "The wants" are a damn site better than "the gimmes".

Yep reading to your kids does pay off later in life.

The DW blemished are great values as I can't find the blemishes. Usually it's the way a # looks or something that small. Excellent buy. The way to go.

I believe this I'd the way ill go,there's literally nothing I can find about the guardian that I don't love. It's the most beautiful handgun I've seen.

Well boy, I think it was when you came to the dance with me, then went home with your mom.

That is a damn good memory!
