This looks like a Bisley "Break-Top" target revolver. They have a low hammer spur and larger grip. In this shape maybe $170 to $200.

Without looking at it, I can only tell you it is a S&W new model no. 3 .
These were made from 1878 until 1912 in many different calibre's. Nearly 40 percent were exported to fill contracts with Japan, Australia, Argentina, England, Spain, and Cuba. The proofmarks of these countries will establish their provenance but will not add appreciably to standard values.
Actually to a collector these can be quite expensive depending on the condition, even one in poor condition can be worth as much as $500.00 to a collector.
I would have an expert appraise it if you are thinking about buying it because I'm not an expert by any means.
    Hope this helps.
