I have this double barrel percussion cap pistol. My dad got it for free for plowing a driveway when he was in his 20s. I want to see if anybody can tell me anything about it.

They were commonly called "muff pistols". do a google on that to get info. Most were made from about 1850 to about 1875. Not very pricey.

I don't see a lot of double barreled ones. Those aren't damascus barrels are they!?

Be careful googling anything containing the word "muff".

On my phone, they definitely look Damascus.
