I love the old guns. Today, hunting in PA, my trusty old Savage 99F, .308, put this 8 point in the freezer. I bought the rifle about 40 years ago for $75.00, turned out to be a great investment and my favorite deer rifle.

Nice buck, great rifle. A 99 is on my wish list.

Very cool! I wouldn't mind having that buck in the freezer and the gun in the safe. Thanks for sharing, nice work.

Theres nothing better than to have and use a great old classic rifle to fill the frezzer with . Guess the deers rack is not the typical. One pointed forword and one pointing backwords. Thats should be one the wall just for that.

Is mine 'old'? how could I tell its age? Stock has a couple cracks; looks worn - gun shoots very well. I got this model 70 30.06 for about $250 with low-end bushnell scope, back when I lived in LA (Lower Alabama).
