old .22 ammo

    Hello-

    i have some very old = 1900 -1904 ? .22 cartridges, with a diamond etched on the bottoms.
    can anyone help me id these?

    Most 22 rimfire with a diamond was manufactured by either Western or Winchester. Can you post a photo?

    If is .22 short

    If is .22lr

    Betwen 1910 and 1969: Western cartridge Co., after 1969: Winchester-Western New Haven (Connecticut)

    That info I get it from Municion.org that is a useful website about ammo from Spain (the info is in spanish). They not say nothing before 1910... but is probable that was made by Western cartridge Co.
