So Saturday evening the kids were up getting ready for bed. After my daughter finished up her shower and dried her hair she was coming down stairs to say good night. Well some how she slipped and fell down a flight of stairs. Now at the bottom of the stairs is a wooden and metal baby gate because the new puppy like to run upstairs and pee in the hall way. I am standing at the back of the house brining in some stuff of the deck because it is going to rain. I hear bang boom crash DADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. That was my daughter falling down the stairs. SO I take off running threw the house as fast as I can get my fat azz moving. now the dog got scared ran towards me scaring the one cat his tail was so big it looked like a baseball bat. He jumps and screaches in the horriable screatch cats do. scares the dog more. The dog is on the hardwood and has no traction so she is running like a cartoon (You know legs going in circles) really. then in turns scares another cat who fluffs jumps 5' stright in the air and lands right in the middle of the third cats back with nothing but claws. So now the three cats are goign nuts the dog can't figure out which way to go because the cat is comming from one way I am comming from another and she can't get no traction. I am trying to stop in my stocking feet and doing the tome crusie risky business slide but I have pants on. The third cat is not trying to set a world record for the quickest attempt to get off the back of the couch to the back of the house then back up front and up stairs threw the entire mess. I am trying to calm my daughter down who is laying on the floor in her PJ's crying. Now she is lying on the top of the crushed baby gate the dogs and cats are scrambling around going nuts and I am trying to not laugh because the entire house is nothing but a crazy cartoon house.

I make sure my daughter can more her fingers and toes and sit her up get her an ice pack for her wrist (Which we found out today is broken). My son is standing on the stairs surveying the mayham rubbing his eyes going what happend. I am telling him to go get pants on and get his and his sisters shoes so we can go to the ER. she landed on her side on the baby gate bruising her chest wall and giving her a very nice rasberry. OH BOY Will it ever end.

They are meant to make you laugh. Because even though my life can be a little over stressing at times for the most part I feel like I live in a cartoon world. Some one walks up to the door the dog sits there and looks at them. The wind blows and the dog go freekin ape cheet.

Daughter is ok she is in a cast for a few weeks fractures on the growth plate. So no worries. She is happy she got a red cast today. I was wondering when I kids were going to start to act normal.

The animals really made me laugh. I grew up with all kinds of animals, dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, rabbits, an iguana, turtles, my neighbor had a pet crow. Lived in farm country so there were plenty of cows, hogs, etc around and I spent a few years riding horses. Your story reminded me of some of the crazy stuff our pets did.

I had knee surgery a few years back and when I got home, drugged up and laying on to sofa my family dog(the most loyal animal I've ever seen) became my personal watch dog. Whats funny to me about this is she is an 11lb minature daschound. That dog stayed beside me for the next week as I spent most of my time on the sofa. Any noise or strange movement and she was on it! I'm not exactly sure what she would have done to a person but I think someone might have lost an ankle!

Sorry, hope I didn't hijack your thread.

That was quite a story. I was laughing and sad at the same time because as funny as it was with the animals reactions I figured it wouldn't end well for your daughter. I am glad to hear she will be ok. :)

Oh yeah, please try and get video next :D

I actually just read this story here at work during some downtime. A coworker popped his head in to tell me something, and here I am laughing so hard, but trying not to show it while he's talking about something serious. LOL.

My girlfriend and I are talking about getting married and raising a family. I actually kind of look forward to experiences like this. Though I'm sure it's quite challenging at other times as well.

This was so funny that I had to read it out loud to my husband (with the tears rolling) while he laughed. OMG, the cats!!! Heeheehee, totally sound slike something that would happen at my zoo. Remind me to tell ya sometime how I almost blew myself up or the time my 20 lb tom cat rolled over and showed me his weewee. :|
