So anyway here goes. I was given a seemingly quite old 20 gauge Side By Side shotgun which is marked Ithaca Gun Co, Ithaca N.Y. The part that makes me think it's old it the barrel markings: Smokeless powder steel. The stock has been refinished and had the Pachmayr recoil pad added on at some point. The Bores seem to be in decent shape aside from some dust. The serial number (225063) was nicely concealed on the bottom the left chamber, visible only with the action open. If there is a model number it's hidden well enough that I haven't found it. Note: I haven't made any effort to disassemble it. Anyway I was hoping someone might be able to fill in some details about it. FWIW, it was picked up at some point by my father some years back. Well, he has since passed and my stepmom has zero info about it's origins or how it even came to be in his possession. My Dad wasn't really into shotguns, so I can only assume that it came to him via some trade or a deal too good to pass up.
