Put a jerk in a uniform and this is what you get with bravado.
For that threatening promise to kill the CCW holder this officer was fired.
    :D

Fired isn't good enough. He should be charged with assault with a firearm.

He needs to go to prison on top of it. I'm sure with his attitude and former profession, he'll be welcomed with open arms, as long as he stays on his knees.

I agree that being fired was not enough in this case. Stronger action was warranted. This guy is not only a poor representative for law enforcement; he is a menace to society.

I remember seeing this a while back. Glad to see that the d...head got fired. Hopefully it will send a powerful message to the any other cop on that force who feels the same way. I wouldn't send him to prison though I would just want to make sure he never gets to be cop again.

Unfortunately this is becoming too frequent, with police either not knowing firearm laws at all or being a complete tool to anyone exercising their rights...youtube is littered with videos of police harassing legal firearm owners who open carry (especially in NM), I'm all for police like this being removed and civil action brought on them and also people flexing their rights a little more.

Isn't that what happens when a civilian threatens to kill someone? I'm sure it's a short sentence, but I guarantee that guy would have a whole new perspective on life within 24 hours behind bars. Probably a new inflatable donut to sit on too.

In Florida that would get you ten years without possibility of early release.
And with a felony conviction, no more firearms. As it is, this jerk will be carrying concealed just like the man he shook down.

Now that he is a civilian, if I were the victim, he would tote an ass whoopin. (or I would)

I wouldn't attempt it, he's the kind of azz clown that would shoot first as soon as you look at him sideways. Know why? cause he's a P#$^Y, that's why, hid behind his badge with his power trip while on the job, he'd hide behind a gun while off the job and try to count on the good ole boy network to keep him out of trouble.

Ohioans for Concealed Carry (OFCC) actually headed the attack on this officer. If anyone wants the skinny thats where to go (their website). Its chalk full of comments and even has the victim on their boards...

As a retired officer, I feel the same, firing is not enough.

yes he should have been fired and had charges brought against him for assualt. then the victim should file a lawsuit and take him in civil court.

i have respect for LEO during their job as they are suppose to. but this jerk makes the good LEO look like a bunch of trigger happy morons. what i saw was a guy on his own power trip, almost looking for someone to give him a reason to shoot them. very sad.

another danger this represents is this, just because he is fired from that agency, if he isn't convicted of some type of felony, he will end up with another agency doing the same thing again. he needs to be convicted of a felony so that he never wears a badge, much less a firearm.

also, makes you wonder how many times this has happened and not been broadcasted over the internet? probably isn't the first time he has pulled a stunt like this, just the first time he got caught doing it!

Id try to sue for as much as I could and probably go over board with the victim roll.. why not right? Lol
