Sorting through my Dad's ammo locker, I came up with some odd rounds that I know he had no gun for. Anyone have a .351 SLR? Or a 7mm Mauser? I have 48 and 20, respectively. My wife says 48 rounds does not justify buying another rifle! :D

Not familiar with the .351 but I would argue that you have plenty of rounds to justify buying a mauser.

    7mm Mauser

If one shows up at our local auction house, I'll grab it!

Ask your wife how many rounds it would take to justify buying another rifle, then go out & buy some ammo for a rifle you've always wanted!

Pretty rifles. Wonder what replaced them?

Are they hard to find? Shipping would be more than the cost of a box of 20!

Not the same as the FR8 carbine, huh? That I have in 7.62 Nato.

The FR-8 is made from the 8mm large ring actions. The FR-7 is a modified 7mm action. Both are chambered in 7.62 X 51
