It will be a really sad day when 90% of our veterans get similar letters.

Why, it is documented and concerns legal gun owners that soon will be deemed illegal.

I was trying to ask about this yesterday. I was wondering if anyone from NY could actually confirm this?

Okay I'm confused. They suspended his carry permit. But he had to turn in all of his guns that don't make no sense WTF. And why Not turn Them over to a friend . Loan them 2 a family Member. Put in a gun shop to sell for you .what are they thinking. Why give them to the police to lose them to destroy them or whatever. Oh and you think that's bad wait till Obama Health Care takes over. And your doctor gives all your information straight to the government there going to be confiscated everything everywhere. Over my dead cold hands.!!!!!!!!!

Depending on the situation doing anything other than turning them over to the pd can be an added crime. Typically when the police are involved in order to sign the guns over to someone the person has to be willing to sign paperwork stating they can be charged with a felony if the guns end up back in the possession of the original owner. Many are not willing to sign the paperwork. It also tends to cost a large amount of money once the guns go into storage. Atleast that's what it tends to be like in my state.

I'm in California we can gift give or sell guns to public without FFL license. So New York must be different

The attorney representing the two gentlemen is from my hometown and is one of many attorneys that have filed suits against NYS and the NY Safe act. He was on a local radio station, WBEN 930, wben.com. The host Tom Baurle has posted the interview at wben.com and I believe on his facebook page. What has happened to these men will be happening to others. In NY our tyrant dictator is bent on vengence and bending the will of upstate NY to fit the model of the Bloomberg NY city mold. Andrew the first is a first rate Napoleonic Narssicest. When he blew this law up our skirts with his falsetto cry of "nobody needs ten bullets to kill a deer", speech he never thought he would get the push back he has received. But, anyone who thinks this clown prince is finished politically is woefully naive. He, because of NY City will continue to get re-elected inspite of the hatred he has engendered in upstate NY. There are some 8 million voters in that cesspool of liberalism... and the vaaasst majority will vote this wannabe president back in as Governor regardless of us. I hope to be able to move to Texas. Leave the butt-ring liberals to the Sodom they are creating for themselves. I just have to get to point of retirement 5 years and out!
