Took the class today 10 hours, passed the test, paperwork submitted.

Instructor was Tim Dalan, from SaferUSA.com, he also hosts a radio
show out of Chicago, Sundays 9PM on 560AM.

    Great class, thanks Tim.

Shade very fine move. These are intense classes your NRA Training will serve you and the public well. If every NRA Member became a coach, instructor or RO etc. We would all be better for it.
I have been an NRA Certified Handgun Inst. for many years. Never regretted the time invested in our sport.:)

    Thanks,

I am going to be taking a number of classes in the foreseeable future.
I am working toward being able to teach CCW classes here in IL Once
    we pass a law...

At this point, since we do not have a CCW law and requirements it is
a guess at this point, the NRA Basic Instructor Training is next on deck.

I also have the CCW Florida class completed.

Good job there shade I've been an NRA certifed range officer approx. 5 or 6 years. The test was provided by our club chief Rso and other senior rso's. It common sense when you think about, but they like to throw in a few sucker questions. We had 3 nights of classes with the test on the third. However, mentioned during the training some clubs have their own rules and procedures in addition to the NRA's.

Feels good, I got my patch today, NRA Certified Instructor. After many years a lifetime member, time to start paying back for all the NRA has done for me.

Well done. If more NRA members became involved in our work it would help.:)

I am working toward that here as well.

    Thanks.

Several friends and I are working toward becoming CCW Instructors, none
of us had any documented training, we are fixing that. We all live in illinois
and we will have a CCW law shortly, maybe... The Director of the illinois
state police has the power to decide what credentials are needed to teach
it. So we are working on the following NRA classes for a start:

    • Basic Pistol
    • Instructor Basic Pistol
    • Defense in the Home
    • Instructor Defense in the Home
    • Defense outside the Home
    • Instructor Defense outside the Home
and then whatever else is tossed in the mix.

I took four classes on or after April 28. Basic pistol, Personal Protection In The Home, Range Safety Officer, and Chief Range Safety Officer.

I am registered for Personal Protection Outside The Home a couple months away.

Intention is to pick up all the classes offered over the next year or so. Will be teaching CHP classes in the future, once all the required paperwork is submitted and approved by my State Patrol.

Well things have progressed well this summer my friends and I have completed the following NRA ratings:

    1. Chief Range Safety Officer
    2. Instructor Basic Pistol
    3. Instructor Basic Rifle
    4. Instructor Basic Shotgun
    5. Instructor Personal Protection inside the Home
    6. Instructor Personal Protection outside the Home
I also took a Intermediate Defensive Handgun Course, that was not an NRA class.
