    1) If this is against Forum Rules just Delete, I understand.
    2) This is ~8 miles west of Kankakee, IL.
    3) I will be one of the instructors.
    4) This will count toward your first 8 hours of IL - CCL requirements.

Not yet, we do plan on adding UT an AZ next year. Our primary focus right
now is to get the IL-CCL up and running smoothly.

This class is to get you your first day of the IL-CCL done now; pending
approval of Instructors and Curriculums from the IL ISP we will offer the
second day (8 hours) to complete IL-CCL. A lot of people cannot or do not
want to sacrifice a full weekend for a CCL class. This way you can break it
up. If you already have you FL you only need the second day (8 hours of
    training).

Adding UT with a FL Non-Resident Permit adds Minnesota, Pennsylvania,
    Washington and Wisconsin.

There are rumors that Wisconsin may recognize the IL-CCL.

    Shade,

i would certainly try to be there but i have a one year wedding anniversary trip all ready planned by my better half for that weekend ...:( which i really shouldnt be frowning about:)

but if there is a chance you have a full class this time and offer it again in october or november, i will more than likely attend.

Good luck and good job getting that set up, hope it fills up for you so i can see you there down the road.

I like that you're offering multiple permits. How do you, as an instructor, facilitate that?

We are doing this to keep the ball rolling so we can get as much ahead of the
curve here is the lovely state of confusion, umm Illinois as we can. We have
our IL-CCL curriculum written and awaiting approval from the ISP, what we
are teaching is the first day of that and the extra needed for FL-CCW.

Depending on how long Springfield and the ISP take to certify us as
instructors and approve our curriculum is anybody's guess. It is Springfield
need I say more. Actually I do have to say that the ISP is doing as good as
they are allowed to do by the politicians.

Hopefully, we will be able to teach the IL classes soon. So far only 23 people
have been certified as instructors and no curriculums have been approved
    yet.

We have 20 for this class room for more; minimum is 12-15 just to make it
worth while. Max is around 60 for our facility.

You have to either get certified by the states you want to teach or meet
their requirements, every state is different. I plan once we are rolling
smoothly to get AZ and UT as UT is the hardest logistically.

thank you. Indeed, the female instructor will likely boost both male and female attendees :p but i will start planting the seed so we're both there. I did get her in a safety class at Illinois Gun Works in Elmwood Park back in december of last year, that she liked, and thusly out to the range a few times since then. She promised me last week she would get a pic for her FOID app so she can get that sent in asap. I stopped nagging her about it in order to lead by example...

Interesting. I'll be looking into this when I'm an instructor. Thanks.

    Good luck.

FOID not required to take the class. As long as you have yours
you can bring the firearms and ammo for you both.
