Cannot speak to your particular firearm, however, in GENERAL, the Norinco's I have seen in several weapons are relatively crude copies, lot of machining marks, softer steels. Not something that impressed me as a durable, reliable firearm.

I can tell you about it...

My Norinco Tokarev is 38 years old and I've shot well over 10,000 rounds through it. NEVER a FTF or FTE. I've shot Bulgarian, Romanian, Chinese as well as S&B and Wolf ammo without any problems. You can buy Bulgarian ammo for about 10 cents a round.

You can buy one of these without having to use an FFL, as Tokarev's are classified as C&R guns today. You can also get one for less than 200.00 at places like J&G Gun Sales.

The 7.62x25 round is very potent and close to the power of a .357 Magnum. And it will put 9mm to shame for penetration.

I added a muzzle brake to mine and it works great! The thing I really like about the Norinco Tokarev is it's cheap to buy, cheap to shoot, and its very, very reliable.

My gun club has a couple of Norinco copies of the Colt Woodsman for the instructors to use as beaters, they get very basic maintenance and still work quite well. Fit and finish is rather lacking, but they work properly.

Yeah, Norinco won't win any awards for fit & finish, that's for sure. But they do function very well.
