I have just got a used Norinco SKS with some Chinese stamped on the gun, Chinese is also made on the sling. I is in great condition. Does the Chinese writing help or hurt value or importance of this gun? I am just learning o the gun thing so I'm taking all I can in. Thanks.

A Chinese made SKS is a Chinese made SKS. Good shooters but nothing terribly special about them, and there's thousands of them.
the chinese version is more expensive than most of the other sks models, but you are only talking $300 to $500 for a chinese compared to $200 to $400 for the others. You won't be retiring off that rifle's value, but you do have good shooter.
