I have two pistols under my belt. A .45 1911, and a 9mm Px4. My plan is to have a gun in every caliber. My next one will be a .40 cal for a conceal carry. Looking at an FNX-40 or a CZ P-07. But my fiancé won't let me get one till after we're married. So I have ten months to save up and make my decision. Since new guns are constantly coming out, my mind is likely to change. Just want to get some opinions from everyone on different guns. Some I may not have looked at or even thought of.

Any experiences good and bad will be much appreciated. Please let me know.

PS. Pictures would be good to. I like to combine quality with looks.

My next gun will probably be a G22 followed by a S&W M&P or a revolver. Just bc of how simple they are to convert. Along with that I plan to get 9mm,.357sig,.22lr conversion for it. My op glocks are ok but not really my first choice. I just can't ignore how easy it is to convert. 4 guns in 1 how can you not love that. I have however fell in love with the XD's. Just got my xd45 about a month ago and wont give it up fore the world.I do need to throw in a AK at some point.

My first pistol was a Bersa .40 & I have become a Bersa fan because of it. I don't think you can beat them in reliability, feel & balance. Their finish is not the best, but that's why I'm not concerned about them showing holster wear. My wife & I have Bersas in .22LR, .32ACP, .380, 9mm, .40S&W & .45ACP, including their new BP9CC striker fired polymer pistol, but I prefer the DA/SA platform.

I like to take a few days and go to all of the LGS, fondle er handle as many as I like and then do some research on said choices. This is how I found the wife's and daughters pistols as they were with me. Window shopping is fine as long as guns are involved, this is also how I found my next gun to purchase. The Colt Commander Wiley Clapp, I almost didn't put it back down and I surely didn't have the cash to buy it at that time.

P-06 or P-07 would be great. Both very nice!

By the way, I love the plan of "one in every caliber". I thought about that. The problem becomes "Ok, mow it's time for .38 super, .44 Super, 9.25 Dillon, .22 TCM, etc." It's an admirable goal. One I appreciate but my wife despises...:D

Haha yeah my fiancé is the same way. Absolutely hates guns... I've looked at the P-07 a few days ago. Didn't really like it, I thought it was to bulky. I'm still interested in looking at the P-06 though. Today I looked at a M&P 40 compact. I liked it a lot. I was also looking at the Glock 27, but I found the handle to short. The M&P 40 compact with the pinky grip on the mag definitely makes me lean more towards it. Plus I think it looks better

The P-07 is weird feeling. It's got a sweet trigger. A pawn shop bear me has a P-01 for sale for $430, and it feels awesome. Same thing as the P-06. I not care for Glock pistols at all...

I'm lucky. My wife loves guns, just not paying for them lol! I guess it doesn't help that I ALWAYS have money going into one. I'm going to get that SAR ST10 next. Mostly Sig/H&K clone, but it's in 9mm. I have .380, 9mm, .40S&W, .45 ACP, 10mm (the Boss! Lol), and Tokarev-chambered pistols. 10mm is the ruler, but I enjoy the 9mm. A complaint I had with the .40 was that with my bigger hands it felt crappy to shoot in compact or sub-compact pistols. So if you are going to get a smaller pistol in .40, you might consider trying it first... YMMV

I've shot my friends XDM 40 compact. I liked they way it shot and the recoil wasn't that bad. The only thing I didn't like we're the grooves in the grip dug into my hand when I shot it

Those Hogue "grip condoms" work well. I had one on my Glock 27 before I decided Glock isn't for me and sold it. They feel good and they're cheap! I'd like to try an xdm. I did, however, convince some dude at the range to sell his xdm in favor of a P-01! Lol

Wow that's saying something. I held a P-01 once, and I would choose it over an XDM just on feel alone. Gun condoms are a good idea, but if I buy a gun it's going to be because it feels good in my hand. I done want to have to get something extra in that aspect. I do wish the P-06 was as cheap as the P-07 though lol

That's a good pnt. Sometimes I would be willing to purchase a gun if everything was PERFECT except one thing, but in a CC/HD pistol, it's got to feel good... I'm not sure where you're located, but as I said there is a used P-01 in my area. Not the .40 S&W, but $430 is a great price. If you PM me and are interested, I would be more than happy to go down and take some pics of it. Shipping to an FFL can be a pain, but that's a darn good price even with a $20 transfer fee. Also. You could just come to Utah. You cn stay here if you bring me two boxes of 10mm ammo! Lol!

Hahaha yeah that's not a bad deal at all. The only thing is I won't be able to get it for a another ten months. Which sucks because I know I'll see a lot of good deals between now an then

My wife was raised Mormon, so spending money gives her heart attack and stroke lol! It's the perfect system!
