1012171925.jpg 1012171923a.jpg Bought a Zastava M85 short action (mini mauser) on Gun Broker. Put a 4x12 scope on it and will give it a try at the range this weekend.

    Barrel is about 20"

Not sure how I will use this rifle other than at the range (I'm not a hog hunter)... But the 7.62x39 ammo is cheap and I love putting holes in paper!

Fine looking gun. Let us know how accurate it is!

What kind of money did you sink on the gun with out the scope?

Little compared to the alternative guns out there (CZ and a couple of others)...

    I paid $361

A step up from my olf carcano rebarreled to 7.62x39 combloc.
Those darn 6 shot carcano embloc clips are not easy to come by.

Ruger American Ranch bolt action in that caliber (imagine a "Mannlicher-style" full-stock?) Some folks equate 7.62x39 to the same class as the 30-30 winchester.
