I just received a Bell & Carson stock from Midwayusa. It fits my
Weatherby Vanguard .243 like a glove. The stock already has full
aluminum bedding, so there is no need for glass bedding. Next I need
to bore sight the Meopta 4 - 12 x 50 scope and head to the range.
This should make for a pretty nice deer rifle. I bought the Vanguard,
    on sale, at Academy Sports.

What was the torque settings for your action screws with the new stock?

Done a lot of work with those stocks and love them!!! Just a quick note. You do not need to bed the action but if you throw your action into the stock and have any movement in there before you torque it down (which you probably will) it is very helpful to bed the recoil lug at least. It'll help you get everything you can out of the rig. I do the screws to 45-50 ft/in for a typical hunting rig. 60-65 for a work rifle.

The action didn't move at all, so I tightened it down to 45 ft/lbs. I was
reading the instruction sheet that came with the stock and they
advised against glass bedding at all.
