    totally. That was the first thing i thought, Farscape & the old "Lifting body" experiments featured on the intro to The Six Million Dollar Man teevee show.

    But... Where are they going to store the satellites and the crane arm thing that the current shuttle has... what is the point of just flying up there to look around if you cant actually do anything? I can look at space from here.

    This vehicle is more of a mini-bus, a people mover...

    Heavy lift rockets will have to be used for cargo transported to LEO. People will be in smaller vehicles. Cost effectiveness is the key to space flight/exploration... The shuttle was utilized for far too many missions, and as in all engineering is a compromise, things that result from it, NEVER do as well as dedicated platforms...
