That's what I'd want it for too. Had been thinking of getting a mini-revolver but I'll get one of these instead.

Yep, a lot more usable as a casual plinker and for small game hunting of opportunity. That way I can leave my nice blue steel, stag griped old 1959 made Single-Six at home on crappy weather days!

Agreed. I'd actually been looking at Bearcats too but wasn't sure I wanted to spend what they cost. This'll do fine.

TheLovelyMrs made me buy a Bearcat a few years ago at a gun show, I like it, but it's not worth the money.
Now if it had adjustable sights...

I really like the way Bearcats look but I’ve never gotten around to buying one. I had a REALLY nice custom stainless Single-Six convertible but I gave that to my son when he graduated from Basic training so now I only have my vintage pretty blue .22 handguns and no all weather handgun. This one would fit that bill really well.

There's a new Bearcat with target sights. Pretty sure it's a TALO edition.

Yah, but I already spent the $ on the one without them. :(

It could use a friend! Or you could always sell or trade it in.

Sounds like upgrade time to me! Used Bearcats bring decent money. Popular little handgun.

Meh, it's kind of like a gift from TLMrs since she forced me to buy it. I could kill a spruce chicken with it at 10 yds or so. And it's just so cute in the little Tom Threepersons holster I made it.
If my daughter would ever get with it and procreate (never thought I'd utter THOSE words) her kid will be the best outfitted 10 yr old in whatever state they live in.

I get it. I have a lot of guns destined to belong to grandchildren I don’t have yet. I’m still young enough, I can wait some. :D

Due to old "Saturday Night Special" laws still on the books.

I borrowed this post from the interwebz, but it explains the intent very well:

Here in MN we have the so-called "saturday night special" law. It prohibits any handgun having a frame made from powdered metal, or any material having a melting point less than 1000 degrees F. I am sure most if not all poly frame pistols fall into this category, but it is ignored for them. But you won't see a Jennings, Lorcin, Phoenix or Heritage rough rider on any shelf in the state.

They don't want people to buy a cheap gun to rob people with & maybe hurt themselves . We have to protect those that don't want to work & just steal IA Shooter .
Same thinking came up with if you get a kid a BB gun .....he will put his eye out .
