I recently purchased a brand new Remington 870 Wingmaster shipped from Davidsons and noticed a knot or flaw in the stock. Running your hand over the knot feels like a line in the wood. The wood does not appear to be humped up or swelled. I wanted to know if you guys think this is a flawed stock that needs to be sent back to Remington for replacement or repair? Of course this won't affect the functioning of the firearm but just the appearance. I am a little disappointed after spending this much for a shotgun but wanted to know if you think this is unacceptable or should I just live with it?
