Hello,
I am a North Dallas resident who has recently gotten back into shooting after hardly touching firearms for the past 13 years. I stumbled on this place by accident.
Mostly I enjoy talking about firearms in general but I do have a practical side to owning firearms. I enjoy going to the range but I have weapons for home defense and currently plan on getting a CHL soon. I am also in the process of teaching my oldest son to shoot and probably will be teaching my younger son in the next couple of years.
I'll just spell it out like this. I own a .45 for defense but I love shooting .22 LR.
I worked briefly as a jailer and actually studied law enforcement in college but ended up in a completely different career. I've seen the very best and the very worst of the law enforcement community. I'm also a former gun control advocate (and someday I might expound on how my views have changed) who has just seen to many of my assumptions shattered over the years.
