I'm currently looking at the xd - m .40s&w and the S&W M&P .40 any recommendations would be appreciated!

My Girlfriend wants a xd -m 9mm so thats pretty much set in stone but I will be going to some local gun shows in the next couple weeks and see.

Seems like a very good forum for information and advice. Have been a gun enthusiast all my life, (now 65). Have owned a bunch of guns, and wish I had most of them back.
