Hey guys just got a sears model 20 pump action 12ga today. Anyone know anything about it?
does it look like this?
they were made by High Standard, a model 200 was what they called them if i remember right. they actually are pretty good guns for the money, very smooth action.
i'd love to see some pics, i paid $100 for mine 3 years ago & i'm curious what you paid for yours & the condition of it
I paid a buck 25 for it its got an adjustable choke which is really cool.
nice. when i bought mine, on the rack right next to it was a 20 gauge model 20 with the adjustable choke for $175. lookin back now that might've been a more versatile gun than what i have but oh well, what can you do
have you shot it yet? i am curious about how well those adjustable chokes worked
they're actually nice guns. Enjoy...
Nope, taking it out next weekend! I hope it shoots good.
JC Higgins 20 gauge bolt action shotgun
I've got a circa 1960 JC Higgins 20 gauge bolt-action shotgun with the optional poly-choke..once you learn how to dial it in...they're a lot of fun for the price...i was out shooting clay pigeons with my brother in law and his $1500 dollar Browning Citori and me and my 50 year old bolt action scatter gun. i could consistently nail the clays 10-20 yds further out. Finally he just shook his head and wanted to try my bolt action beast.
